President Trump has today been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his commitment to maintaining world peace.

Donald Trump, or ‘Mr Peaceful’ as he is informally known amongst his billions of supporters worldwide, has proved himself to be a shining example of leadership and restraint in a turbulent year.

Simon Williams from the Nobel committee told us, “As always, the Peace Prize goes to the person who in the preceding 12 months has done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.

“And the name that obviously leaped instantly to mind was Donald Trump.”

He explained, “During his election campaign and from day one of his presidency he has been a bastion of hope, peace and tolerance, and has displayed the best of temperaments.

“Take how he has handled North Korea – urging everybody to remain at peace and his constant efforts to de-escalate rising tensions are the only thing that has averted World War Three, and we as a planet owe him our lasting gratitude.

“His outstanding approach to maintaining peace at all costs will go down in the annals of history and will be fondly remembered by many.”

The award will be added to Trump’s existing collection of awards for promoting gender equality and combating climate change.
