Crystal Palace have already sacked Roy Hodgson, just hours before giving him the manager’s job.
The former England manager had been thought to replace Frank de Boer, who himself was sacked after having been given almost an entire month at the helm for the Eagles’ first four Premier League games of the season.
Palace fan and Mail reader, Simon Williams, said, “Hodgson brought it upon himself, really. He should really have done a lot more in his minus-three days in charge.
“The training hadn’t even changed in those minus-three days, and he’ll probably use the usual excuses like ‘I wasn’t even there’, ‘I didn’t know I had got the job’ and, inexcusably, ‘Frank was still in charge’, but that’s no excuse is it, really?
“Only a very poorly prepared manager would suggest it was down to them not knowing there was a job going, wouldn’t they?
“I never liked his style of play anyway, especially when I found out after England’s defeat in the Euros that he’d sent scouts to watch Iceland’s danger men, but they were in the shop watching the staff’s movement rather than at the national team’s matches. Idiot.”
On Friday, Palace chairman Steve Parish plans to sack someone someone who doesn’t even know they are going to be a manager till 2031.
