Graffiti supporting Arsene Wenger which appeared at the Emirates stadium overnight was sprayed by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, we can reveal.
Messages including “Wenger must stay!!” and “Four more years Arsene!!!” appeared on the walls at Emirates overnight, leading the team to suspect die-hard fans were expressing support for their beleaguered Wenger.
However, CCTV confirmed the vandal was the Chelsea manager in a long coat with the collar up and a can of spray primer.
“That’s definitely Conte on the camera, and we think he’s got Mauricio Pochettino holding the ladder,” said Arsenal security guard Simon Williams.
“When we checked the records we expected to see drunk supporters or a bunch of kids, so seeing the top two coaches in the league was a bit disappointing, to say the least.
“It’s nice they’d like him to stay, but we have to suspect their motivations, truth be told.”
