The people of Liberia have told of the horror of having Ed Sheeran visit their country for Comic Relief.
Sheeran made the visit to Liberia because he has a new album coming out soon, and it doesn’t hurt to show up on a charity special.
“It’s not enough that we live in one of the poorest places on Earth,” said one young man who asked not to be named.
“But now we’ve got to put up with Ed f**king Sheeran banging on about his new album all over the place.
“It’s going to take me quite some time to recover, I can tell you.”
It is understood that numerous Liberian young people were made to repeatedly clap and look happy while Sheeran inflicted a variety of ‘songs’ on them.
“I don’t want to talk about that,” said clearly traumatised woman, the horror still fresh in his eyes.
“It was…I’ve endured some appalling things in my life, but hearing Ed Sheeran sing his songs? Dear God.”
Yet despite having Ed Sheeran inflicted on them, the people of Liberia, incredibly, remained upbeat and positive.
“It could be worse,” said one man.
“At least we didn’t have to put up with a full Ed Sheeran set like those poor bastards at Glastonbury.”
