Donald Trump convinced Geneva Convention was seventies progressive rock band

The Geneva Convention is an outstanding 1970’s prog rock act with an emphasis on electrified folk rhythms, according to Donald Trump.

Trump’s error emerged during a phone call with Germany’s Angela Merkel, in which she reminded the US President of the importance of the Geneva Convention and his obligations to it.

However, Trump responded by citing the Convention’s seminal album Liege & Lief as the bedrock of his conservative values and asked her whether she liked Hawkwind.

The US leader went on to say how he’d seen “The Convention” support Jethro Tull at the Cropredy festival, before detailing how he was going to waterboard the fuck out of Muslim terror suspects.

After several more bewildering moments, the German Chancellor muttered.

“Fairport Convention.”

The line went dead.
