A comic book enthusiast has reacted unusually well to poor reviews of a film adaptation.
Simon Williams, 27, has been looking forward to the film release of Suicide Squad ever since the first teaser trailer gave a juicy glimpse of Margot Robbie’s tits.
“Turns out it’s being received quite poorly,” mused Williams, calmly sipping on a green tea.
“Ah well, we all have differing opinions I suppose, and I don’t begrudge film critics for doing their jobs honestly and not just fawning over something because it’s vaguely related to Batman.
“I’ll still go and see it, and if it does turn out to be a bit pants then that’s ok, I still have the comics to enjoy.”
Fellow comic fan, Jay Cooper, said, “I really don’t know what’s wrong with him.
“The rest of us have a plan to firebomb the Metacritic offices and smear shit over Mark Kermode’s house, because we’re proper comic fans.
“Maybe he’s just not as big a comic guy as I thought; he doesn’t seem to lack a functioning sense of proportion in the same way I do.”
