Shocking new advert presents Dad as a bit dim

A shocking new advert is set to completely revolutionise gender politics after presenting Dad as a bit dim.

The advert shows a modern family, but in an audacious twist, after returning home from a job in the city, the Dad is unable to figure out how to microwave a pie.

The situation resolves itself when Mum returns home from taking their children out and she can work the microwave and then everyone eats some pie.

It is expected to completely change the way we view gender in the home.

“We wanted to just turn everything we think about modern men and ladies on its head,” said Jeremy Shit from top Advertising firm – Shit, Shit, Shit and Shit.

“It’s 2016, so we wanted to present a real family where even though the Mum just stays at home and brings up kids, there are actually some things that she can do as well as, if not better, than Dad.

“I think it’s really going to shake things up.”

Despite the genuinely revolutionary aspect of the advert, there was never any consideration of making the Mum character a career woman or the man as a stay-at-home Dad.

“Christ, no. It’s an advert, not Emily Davison at the Derby. ‘Stay-at-home Dads?’ I think the advertising industry is still about fifty years off that.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I just need to slap my secretary on the arse as she brings me my tea.”
