Fans of Barcelona are hoping for the opportunity to take in all that Leicester has to offer after the Premier League leaders confirmed their place in next season’s Champions League.

With Manchester United’s loss confirming Leicester’s place in the premier league top four, fans of many of Europe’s top teams are keeping everything crossed for the chance to visit Leicester.

Barcelona season ticket holder Sergio Williams told us, “We’ve been to London, we’ve done Munich, I’ve been to Milan more times than I can count – but I’ve never been Leicester.  I hear it’s beautiful in the autumn?

“With a bit of luck we’ll get them in the group phase and we can spend a warm and balmy September evening taking in the delights of the ‘Paris of the East Midlands’ – which is how the Internet seems to be referring to it.

“What sort of theatre district do they have? What about museums? Who do I talk to about getting a place at the best restaurants?”

Leicester’s tourist board will be gearing up for the raft of continental visitors next season, as soon as they wipe away the dust and fire up the Commodore 64 they use to keep track of such things.
