British passenger Ben Innes has said he took the photo with Egyptian hijacker Seif Eldin Mustafa because he wanted a selfie with Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum.
Innes told authorities that meeting celebrities is terribly exciting, and he couldn’t miss the opportunity get a picture with the Independence Day star.
He explained, “I thought I was in a film, it was really exciting what with a Hollywood A lister wearing a fake suicide vest. I just assumed the cameras were hidden.
“As I left the plane I told him I loved Jurassic Park but that The Fly gave me nightmares. He seemed nice enough about it, but wasn’t all that keen on giving me an autograph.
“To be honest, I always thought he was taller, I guess all actors are really short.
“This new photo will take pride of place next to my selfie with Barack Obama, though I still don’t know why the President of the United States was sweeping the aisles in Slough’s B&Q.”
