The US Food and Drug Administration is facing thousands of enquiries from male customers after approving a libido-enhancing drug for women dubbed the ‘female Viagra’.

Flibanserin, a drug produced by Sprout Pharmaceuticals, recently passed an FDA advisory committee meeting and men are already wondering if it can be used in tea, coffee or added to a nice casserole without affecting the taste.

Married man Simon Williams told us, “This is a wonderful invention, something that will make women more interested in sex, in a perfectly legal way – but don’t you think pills are a little inconvenient?”

“Wouldn’t a nice soluble sachet-based dose be more consumer friendly? Maybe in a range of flavours to suit any mixer.”

“Though I’d also be interested in one that had no flavour, colour or odour. So it was easy to take with your favourite drink, obviously.”

However women have hit back by explaining the pill wouldn’t even be required if you lost a few pounds and maybe went to the gym every now and again.

Williams’ wife Sarah told us, “The view that a woman’s lack of libido is down to some medical condition is a little insulting to be honest with you.”

“I’ll tell you know, I’d have no trouble whatsoever getting aroused if a shirtless Ryan Gosling walked in the room.

“Is there a pill that can make Simon look like Daniel Craig?”
