Mad Max: Fury Road trailer ‘still a better love story than Twilight’

The new trailer for the forthcoming Mad Max film contains more moments of genuine human tenderness than the entire Twilight Series, viewers say.

The trailer, which contains startlingly vivid and cleanly shot images of motorvehicular mayhem and little else, is being described as a ‘romantic masterpiece’ when compared to the love story of vampire Edward Cullen and human Bella Swann.

“Yes, there’s no love in the trailer per se”, said move critic Nick Morris.

“But at least you can believe that these heavily armed and muscled psychopaths are capable of actual human emotions, which is more than you could say for Kristen Stewart”.

“And who can forget the tender moment in Mad Max 2 where the Lord Humongous gently and caringly strangles an underling? You didn’t get that sort of sensitive human emotion in Twilight.”

“In fact, you don’t get any at all.”

Morris went on to unfavourably compare the scene in Twilight where Edward Cullen picks up Bella and runs up a hill like something out of Benny Hill, with the construction of some of the action sequences seen in the trailer.

“I mean. Car…boom. Did you see that? Exploding. Boom. BOOM. Yeah. HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THAT. Fuck me”, he said.

“Oh, er, ah…What I mean to say is that Mad Max: Fury Road expresses the Manichean dichotomy of human existence between sanity and madness, good and evil, human and inhuman in a way that Twilight failed to achieve despite being ostensibly about those very matters which our inherent to our nature.”

“It is an exploration of the human condition which is at once more convincing that Stephanie Meyer’s works, if you will, whilst also containing HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THAT EXPLOSION.”
