NATO has revealed plans to release a collection of some of their many calamitous catastrophes caught on camera, involving them launching missiles into buildings containing some the innocent civilians they were supposed to be protecting.
The collection, entitled Whoops! You’ve Been Maimed Vol 1, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next month.
“Of course we regret the loss of innocent civilian lives, but we hope with the help of canned laughter and an upbeat soundtrack, the DVD will show the lighter side of collateral damage.” said Secretary General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Amongst the madcap missile mayhem included on the DVD are an airstrike in south-west Afghanistan’s Helmand province that killed 14 civilians, another Afghanistan wacky weapon wrack-up in the Uruzgan province that killed 27 and Sunday’s bonkers bomb boo-boo in Libyan capital, Tripoli, that is believed to have killed 9 civilians.
NATO has expressed concern after Libyan officials claimed that a further 15 civilians have been killed in a seperate NATO faux pas in the suburb of Sorman, west of Tripoli.
“I think it’s a bit too late for this one to make it to the DVD,” said a NATO spokesperson sadly.
“However, We would like to reassure fans of airstrike howlers that footage of the latest bungled bombardment will appear on the bonus extras of the special edition that we’ll be releasing in time for Christmas”
