by City workers claiming credit for the 0.8% growth rate in the economy over the last quarter have been told in no uncertain terms to ‘do one’ by people with proper jobs.
The growth in the economy is double the forecast, and the surprisingly positive results have been latched onto by bankers everywhere.
As one city-based broker explained, “It was us, it’s true. We don’t like to brag, really we don’t. But if we don’t brag about ourselves then nobody else will.”
