A flaw in the website of micro-blogging website service Twitter has left millions of people with no means of letting complete strangers know what they’re having for dinner, after it started pumping out much more interesting links to adult sites.

Graham Cluey from security firm Sophos has advised people not to use the website to safeguard against their Twitter account being hacked and being used to provide their followers with links to things of actual interest.

“There should be much tighter controls over what users can include within in a tweet,” he explained.

“Anything remotely interesting should be viewed with suspicion. In fact, I’d go as far to say any tweet that doesn’t contain the words ‘baguette’ or ‘Yummy’ should be instantly deleted.”

“You should also shut down your computer and and sprinkle it with holy water to prevent infection by the Devil.”

Twitter hack

Users of the website have been left floundering as they try and find out what their favourite celebrities are getting up to at this very precise moment.

Concerned Twitter fan Eileen Hudson told us, “I’ve been too busy looking at videos on bigmamagonnaslapyoass.com after following a link on Twitter to know what’s going on the in the world.”

“My day would not be complete if I didn’t know that Jonathan Ross was having a delicious breakfast with one of his great celebrity chums, such as Ricky Gervais or one of the other ones.”

“Being completely ignored by celebrities I’m watching intently on Twitter makes me feel much closer to them.  It feels like I’m almost there in the room with them.”

Twitter was not available to comment as it was in the local bakers buying a yummy prawn salad baguette.
