Facebook outage leaves millions frantically searching for what friends had for breakfast

Facebook outage

Millions of people across the world were left in complete ignorance of what friends and family had for breakfast this morning after Facebook suffered an outage.

The problems meant that users were unable to scroll down their Facebook feed past the inexplicable advert to find love with over-sixties in Bar Harbour, New England.

“I was terrified, I didn’t know what was happening,” said Facebook user and fan of other people’s dinners Simon Williams.

“I logged on this morning to check and see if my brother-in-law had the Moussaka and green salad he was looking forward to last night and there was nothing. Just….nothing.

“I was in a state of shock; my first thought was that perhaps he hadn’t had the Moussaka and green salad, but then I thought perhaps he’d had the Moussaka and green salad but forgot to take a photo and post it.

“Or, perhaps he’d had the Moussaka but without the green salad and it was too disappointing to post to Facebook.

“I just didn’t know what to do, so I decided to take the day off work sick.”

The Facebook outage only lasted a couple of hours but has shaken users to their very core.

“I can only hope that it never goes down again,” said a still visibly shocked Mr Williams.

“I mean, what if it snowed? I’d never find out.”
