Creator of triple-word portmanteau ‘Bremoaner’ ecstatic to make front page of Daily Mail

Happy man thinks up Bremoaner

The man who created the portmanteau ‘Bremoaner’ has patted himself on the back and taken the rest of the day off.

Internet user Simon Williams said he created the portmanteau weeks ago, but is delighted to see it finally taking off across social media and in the press.

He told us, “It was a flash of inspiration, I honestly don’t know where it came from. I just took the three things that most clearly define those people, Brexit, Remaining, and Moaning and mashed them up in my head.

“I started casually dropping it into online conversations alongside stuff like ‘snowflake’, ‘salty tears’ and ‘get over it’ – and the reaction was excellent.

“It wasn’t long before I started seeing other people use it, and now today I see it on the front of the Daily Mail. Honestly, I’ve never been prouder.”

Despite his success,  Williams is keen to prove he’s not a one-hit wonder.

He concluded, “I’ve got another one lined up, for the idiots that want our elected parliament to vote on the terms of any Brexit deal – I’m calling them the ‘democratwats’ – what do you think?”

I think, therefore I am (not a Daily Mail reader)
