Football fans offer thanks to David Moyes for incredible 10 month journey

Football fans across the country have offered their heartfelt thanks to David Moyes for the incredible job he did in making Manchester United ‘ordinary’.

Moyes was sacked his morning after a ten month reign at the club, a reign which fans of other clubs are already hailing as ‘simply majestic’.

Football fan Simon Williams said, “The premier league title race this season is one of the most exciting in living memory.”

“And it’s no coincidence that this comes at a time when David Moyes has applied his special brand of footballing magic to make sure Manchester United play no part in it.”

“If only there was some way of making him replace Jose Mourinho at Chelsea this story could have an even happier ending.”

Liverpool fan Mike Walsey told us, “Watching Manchester United has never been as much fun as it has been this season, and for that David will have my eternal thanks.”

“I was never a fan of his when he was at Everton, but now I see I was wrong about him – he’s a top lad and will be sorely missed by everyone in football.”

Moyes sacked by Manchester United

The club have so far remained tight-lipped about the sacking, with limited comments from inside Old Trafford.

When asked who would be taking over the for remainder of the season, a club official told us, “Who knows, we haven’t thought that far. It might be the tea lady, it really doesn’t matter as long as it’s not David.”

Football analyst Shane Matthews explained, “Look, David Moyes has an incredible set of skills, and there are many organisations out there that would love to have him at the helm.”

“There are a great many businesses out there desperate to devalue expensive assets for purely tax reasons, and in recent history no-one has achieved this with such speed and panache as David.”

“He’ll be fine.”

“But first he obviously needs to claim his bonus for helping get Everton into Europe.”
