Chris Moyles successfully completes 52 hours of not being an arsehole

Radio 1 breakfast DJ Chris Moyles and his sidekick Comedy Dave have successfully completed 52 hours of continuous ‘not being complete arseholes’ to raise money for Comic Relief.

Over the course of the challenge, the duo were able to take five minute breaks to be an arsehole for every hour of not being an arsehole that was completed.

“It was tough going,” revealed Moyles.

“If it hadn’t been for the five minute breaks that allowed me to go off and get being a total arsehole out of my system, I don’t think I would have made it until the end.”

“We’ve raised nearly two-million pounds by me temporarily not being an arsehole – who knew people would pay such vast amounts of money for that?”

Radio 1 listeners were full of praise for Moyles, with one listener telling us “I honestly didn’t think the day would come when I didn’t think that Chris Moyles was an arsehole, but credit it where it’s due he’s managed it.”

“I feel a bit dirty saying that, but thankfully it’s almost over and tomorrow I can go back to feeling the way the rest of the world feels about him.”

Moyles has reassured listeners that it will soon be back to business as usual.

He told reporters, “I honestly can’t wait to get back to being an arsehole.”

“It’s what I do best.”
